DMV2GO will return to the Southern Ute Indian Reservation! DMV2GO is the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) exciting, new program that aims to help Coloradans who do not normally have easy access to in-office driver license services by bringing the DMV to them. DMV2GO is part of the DMV's commitment to serve all Coloradans. This program gives tribal membership, as well as local community members, a chance to address DMV issues without the required appointment at a DMV office.   May 2nd will be the first of three events hosted at the Sky Ute Casino Resort in the John S. Williams Room. The other events will occur on July 10th and September 5th,  2024. Services included are below. DMV2GO accepts cash, credit/debit card, checks, or money orders. First time: Colorado Driver License or ID card Out-of-State Transfers Renew: Driver License, Permit, Identification Card, Issue New: Driver License, Permit, Identification Card Motor Vehicle Records Reinstatements Colorado Roads and Community Safety Act services

The Southern Ute Health Center will be closed every first Thursday of the month from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.  All phone calls will be managed by the triage line. If you have any questions, please call the Southern Ute Health Center at (970) 563-4581, and select Option 1.

Every Friday the Southern Ute Education Department hosts Ute Language classes from 12pm-1pm in the Buckskin Charlie room in the Leonard C. Burch Building. Please feel free to spread the word!

The Southern Ute Education Department has partnered with Pueblo Community College to offer a Drone Aviation Course this spring. Join Southern Ute Cultural Preservation for a Shawl Workshop with Ms. Jennifer GoodTracks! 🌟 📅 4-Week Workshop starting May 9th, 2024 🕠 Thursdays 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM 📍 Craftroom at the SUCCM In this workshop, you'll learn how to create a shawl for Beardance with Ms. Jennifer GoodTracks. The session will cover various aspects, including squaring the fabric, sewing edges, fringing, decorating, and caring for the shawl. Sewing machine knowledge is preferred. The Southern Ute Justice and Regulatory Department is happy to share the Agenda and the week’s events to show appreciation to our Law Enforcement staff who remain committed to protecting and serving our tribal community each and every day. The Southern Ute Tribal Court will also be honoring former Chief Judges Pearl E. Casias and the late Rita “Elaine” Newton with bronze plaques that will be showcased in the lobby of the Justice Complex.  Light refreshments will be served following the honoring and dedication. We invite those who have time to attend this worthwhile event that allows us to acknowledge our colleagues who protect and serve the Southern Ute tribal community and also those who have done the courageous work in previous years on behalf of Southern Ute Law Enforcement. The Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum staff would like to invite you to the grand opening of our new exhibit, Ute Cradleboards & Baskets: Carriers of Life on Thursday, May 23rd from 4 pm – 7 pm at the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum. For thousands of years, the Núuchiu (Ute) women have used nature’s resources to create containers of functional works of art that have embraced and nurtured life throughout the Ute lifecycle. This exhibit will feature over 15 cradleboards and a number of medicine baskets and water jugs – highlighting the beauty and complexity of these cultural items throughout history.
