The University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law will return to the Southern Ute Reservation on December 27, 28, 30 & 31, 2024, to facilitate the Tribal Wills Clinic for (15) Southern Ute Tribal Members who are interested in drafting a will. This will be held at Sky Ute Casino Resort. The Tribal Wills Clinic is a group of volunteers including law students and licensed attorneys, who donate their time to help Tribal Members write wills. The services are free and the process takes about 4 hours, spread over two days. The Southern Ute Education Department is thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for Southern Ute high school students, ages 15-18, to participate in a study abroad program this summer! This program is designed to provide students with a unique cultural experience, enhance their educational journey, and broaden their global perspectives. Participants will have the chance to immerse themselves in a new culture, learn from diverse educational systems, and develop valuable skills that will benefit their future endeavors. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the world and gain a deeper understanding of different cultures.
