DMV2GO will return to the Southern Ute Indian Reservation! DMV2GO is the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) exciting, new program that aims to help Coloradans who do not normally have easy access to in-office driver license services by bringing the DMV to them. DMV2GO is part of the DMV's commitment to serve all Coloradans. This program gives tribal membership, as well as local community members, a chance to address DMV issues without the required appointment at a DMV office. May 2nd will be the first of three events hosted at the Sky Ute Casino Resort in the John S. Williams Room. The other events will occur on July 10th and September 5th, 2024. The Dolores River Boating Advocates are working to protect the Dolores River Canyons from Dolores to the Utah state line. They have been working with several members of the three Ute tribes to help educate community members, but to also reconnect folks simply with the landscape. The Advocates are hosting a family camping trip - open to Ute tribal members and their families from the three Ute communities. They will be providing transportation from Cortez, tents, sleeping bags, etc. are all provided. So are food, games, and paddle boards. Hosts of this trip will provide information on current conservation efforts for this landscape. All meals from Friday Dinner to Sunday Breakfast are included! Transportation will be available. Mileage for personal vehicles is not covered. Lodging and camping options available at Camp V with no cost to participants.
