Shawl Making Workshop

Join Southern Ute Cultural Preservation for a Shawl Workshop with Ms. Jennifer GoodTracks! 🌟 📅 4-Week Workshop starting May 9th, 2024 🕠 Thursdays 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM 📍 Craftroom at the SUCCM In this workshop, you'll learn how to create a shawl for Beardance with Ms. Jennifer GoodTracks. The session will cover various aspects, including squaring the fabric, sewing edges, fringing, decorating, and caring for the shawl. Sewing machine knowledge is preferred. Law Enforcement Memorial Day

The Southern Ute Justice and Regulatory Department is happy to share the Agenda and the week’s events to show appreciation to our Law Enforcement staff who remain committed to protecting and serving our tribal community each and every day. The Southern Ute Tribal Court will also be honoring former Chief Judges Pearl E. Casias and the late Rita “Elaine” Newton with bronze plaques that will be showcased in the lobby of the Justice Complex.  Light refreshments will be served following the honoring and dedication. We invite those who have time to attend this worthwhile event that allows us to acknowledge our colleagues who protect and serve the Southern Ute tribal community and also those who have done the courageous work in previous years on behalf of Southern Ute Law Enforcement. SUHC: Tai Chi for Health Class

Tribal Community and Home Health Services will be offering a beginner Tai Chi for Health class Wednesday afternoons beginning May 8. Classes will be 2-3 pm in the Southern Ute Museum classroom.  Any questions can be directed to Karen, 970-563-2340.
