Native Lens Sympsosium
The 2026 symposium welcomes film professionals and emerging media makers alike from throughout Indian Country to attend industry-driven sessions, film screenings, networking opportunities, and hands-on workshops. Meals are provided and there is no cost to attend. There will be a spotlight on Resident Alien, which prominently features the Southern Ute Indian Tribe in several episodes. Writer and director Alexandra Lazarovich (Cree) will join us in person for a screening and panel discussion, as well as the show's Special FX / Makeup artist Cayley Giene, who will do a live sfx demonstration. Southern Ute Behavioral Health Division in conjunction with SASO would like to announce a new group starting Monday, June 16 @ 8:30AM. Please join us at the Community Garden located at 115 Ute Street for a Growing Together opportunity to meet neighbors and build social support systems. Please bring your own gloves, hats, and sunscreen. Coffee and water will be provided. We're excited to share that Summer Food for Kids is back in Ignacio! Thanks to a partnership between Pine River Shares, the Ignacio Community Library, and Ignacio Out & Equal Alliance, free food bags will be available throughout the summer for children and youth ages 18 and younger. P11-5-101. Eligibility for Absentee Ballot. Any registered tribal voter who expects to be absent on the day of the election, or who, because of serious illness, physical disability, or advanced age is unable to vote in person at the polling place, is eligible to vote by absentee ballot. P11-5-102. Application for Absentee Ballot. (1) An absentee ballot must be requested by the voter himself on the application form provided by the Election Board by letter or by telephone call, stating the applicant’s name and address, and the reason he will be unable to vote in person.
