• Lake Capote: Season-Long Fishing Derby

    Lake Capote will be celebrating their 60th Anniversary this year! The Lake will be hosting a season long Fishing Derby.   • SUBGC – Summer Club

    The 2024 Summer Club for the Boys and Girls Club of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe will be June 10, 2024 - August 9, 2024.  No club July 4-12, 2024.  Ages 6-18, limited space available. Tribal member meeting is April 30, 2024 @ 5:30 p.m. at the Mouache Room at SunUte Community Center.     The Sky Ute Fairgrounds & RV Park is hosting two major Summer Shootout Series events in July. One of the two events just concluded and was a major success!   • Dolores Canyon Country Trip Sign-Up

    The Dolores River Boating Advocates are working to protect the Dolores River Canyons from Dolores to the Utah state line. They have been working with several members of the three Ute tribes to help educate community members, but to also reconnect folks simply with the landscape. The Advocates are hosting a family camping trip - open to Ute tribal members and their families from the three Ute communities. They will be providing transportation from Cortez, tents, sleeping bags, etc. are all provided. So are food, games, and paddle boards. Hosts of this trip will provide information on current conservation efforts for this landscape. All meals from Friday Dinner to Sunday Breakfast are included! Transportation will be available. Mileage for personal vehicles is not covered. Lodging and camping options available at Camp V with no cost to participants.   • SU Behavioral Health – Mending Broken Hearts

    Please Southern Ute Behavioral Health as they begin a new cycle of our Mending Broken Hearts group Tuesday July 16th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The Mending Broken Hearts group is focused on healing from Trauma, as well as Grief and loss, if you are interested in attending the group it will be held at the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum in Ignacio, CO.
