Sky Ute Casino and Resort – Soft Bingo Opening for Tribal Members

The Sky Ute Casino is proud to announce Bingo is coming back the Sky Ute Casino and Resort!  On Thursday, May 16, 2024, Southern Ute tribal members are invited to attend a private Bingo games event.  Doors open at 5:00 p.m.  Southern Ute tribal members are also welcome to bring (1) guest.  Drawings will be held throughout the event.  For more information, please contact Edward Box, III, at (970) 563-7777.

SUIMA – Field Day

SUIMA will be holding their annual Field Day on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 9:30am-1:00pm at the Sun Ute Field.  If you have any questions, please call the school at 970-563-0253.

Ute Language Class – CANCELLED

The remaining scheduled fRIDAY  lunch Ute Language Classes for the month of May are CANCELLED. The class will resume June 7th and more information will be forthcoming.

SUCCM: Ute Cradleboard & Basket Exhibition

The Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum staff would like to invite you to the grand opening of our new exhibit, Ute Cradleboards & Baskets: Carriers of Life on Thursday, May 23rd from 4 pm – 7 pm at the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum. For thousands of years, the Núuchiu (Ute) women have used nature’s resources to create containers of functional works of art that have embraced and nurtured life throughout the Ute lifecycle. This exhibit will feature over 15 cradleboards and a number of medicine baskets and water jugs – highlighting the beauty and complexity of these cultural items throughout history.
