SUBH: Breath & Movement Group

Breath and Movement Group is Kicking Off in April! Join Southern Ute Behavioral Health every week to gently stretch and move in a supportive, peer led space. Bring curiosity and awareness to the mind and body to learn new coping skills. Decrease stress while increasing vitality and well-being. Please bring an exercise mat, if possible. No prior experience needed! Open to all Native American Community members, age 18+! Space is available yet limited! Facilitators: Tamara D. Turner (she/her), PhD, Mental Health Capacity Building through Culture & the Arts; Rachel Shockley (she/her), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Substance Abuse Therapist

SU DOE: Town Hall – Mancos Shale Development

The Department of Energy (DOE) will be hosting a town hall meeting to keep Tribal Membership informed on the Mancos Shale Development. This Tribal Members-only meeting will cover information regarding where water will be sourced from, anticipated routes for layflat pipelines, permitting, and tribal considerations. For those who can’t join us in person, please connect via Webex. When: Tuesday, May 6th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Where: Growth Fund Building, 1st Floor, Conference Room 103 A meal will be provided. SU Education: SJC Tour

Join the Southern Ute Education staff for a tour of San Juan College on Friday, May 9th, from 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM. This field trip is open to Southern Ute Tribal Members, Southern Ute 1st Descendants & JOM Students grades 9-12. Lunch provided. Only ten spots available, first come first serve!
