SunUte – FLC Volleyball Camp Sign-Up

SU Cultural Preservation – SU Fair Theme and Logo Contest

The Southern Ute Cultural Preservation Department is seeking submissions from Southern Ute Tribal Members for the 102nd Annual Southern Ute Tribal Fair logo and theme contest. SunUte – Tri Ute Games

Tri-Utes are back this 2024! The Southern Ute Indian Tribe is hosting this year’s Tri-Ute Games and is looking for athletes and coaches!  Save the date for mid-summer 2024, exact dates will be announced before the end of March.  Packet pick-up for coaches and players will be at SunUte Recreation.  Please contact SunUte Recreation at (970) 563-0214 and request the following Recreation staff members for assistance:  Darnell (2667), Elijah (2655), Kelsey (2660), or Bird (2664).  Deadline for packet submission will be May 3, 2024

Healing Community Project Informational Meeting

The Southern Ute Indian Tribe’s Tribal Health Department and Construction & Project Management Teams will hold informational meetings on the proposed Healing Community Project. This project will include a residential substance use disorder treatment center, behavioral health outpatient services and housing components. See how the Healing Community concept plans to address substance use disorder with a holistic model for healing tribal, community members and their families. Please join the Southern Ute Tribal Health Department and Southern Ute Construction and Project Management for the upcoming Community Engagement meeting for the Healing Community project, a residential substance use disorder treatment center, with behavioral health outpatient services and housing components. Meetings have been scheduled on March 6th, at 5:30 p.m. and a lunch time meeting on March 7th, at 12:10 p.m., for both Tribal & Community Members at the Southern Ute Multi-Purpose Facility. SU DSS – Positive Indian Parenting Class

The Division of Social Services is offering Positive Indian Parenting class in March 2024 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 3pm. This class is free and open to all. It does require an email address, a smart device and a solid internet connection for the three-hour class. SU DSS – Fatherhood/Motherhood is Sacred Classes

Southern Ute DSS is bringing in a second class for the Tribal Community! This class, Fatherhood/Motherhood is Sacred class is geared towards Parents and/or family members in the community that would like to engage in a class that discusses cultural preservation while re-vitalizing the sacred roles of Fatherhood and Motherhood. NAFFA or Native American Fatherhood and Families Association along with Founder and President Albert M. Pooley (Hopi/Navajo) has designed this class to emphasize that families are the heart of all cultures. “Our method is to uplift, encourage, assist, and teach. Fulfilling life with hope, gratitude, and understanding has a powerful effect in changing attitudes and behavior.
