SU Wildlife Seeks Bids for (5) Bison – Southern Ute Tribal Members Only

The Wildlife Resource Management Division will be collecting sealed bids from Tribal Members only for (5) Live Bison. They will all be females (3-9 yrs. old) 100% grass fed and are up to date on vaccines. Bids are set at a $500 minimum and must be submitted by January 31st, 2024, by 5:00pm. All buyers will be required to sign a Sales Agreement and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the sale. For more information, please call the Wildlife Division at (970) 563-0130.  

SU MPF – January Quilt & Sewing Class

SU Education – Mini Law School Registration

The Southern Ute Education Department would like to encourage Southern Ute tribal members and staff to take an opportunity to get a taste of law school or experience a lifelong learning opportunity with CU Boulder’s online Mini Law course. Free to Tribal Membership and Tribal employees, this online course is designed for non-lawyers, doesn’t have assigned reading or homework, and offers a certificate of completion if four or more sessions are viewed. You can participate by livestreaming the lecture 6-7:30pm MDT or on-demand at any time of your choosing. SMHW – Breastfeedomg & Parenting Support Class

Shining Mountain Health and Wellness is offering an informational presentation titled “Native American Cultural Awareness in Perinatal Care” for our January Breastfeeding and Parenting Support Class. If you are a parent, currently breastfeeding, or want to support other parents and families, please come over and join Southern Ute Shining Mountain Health and Wellness on Thursday, January 11th, from 12-1pm, Downstairs in the Mouache Capote Building. Positive Indian Parenting Class

Wishes for a happy new year and a prosperous 2024 to you and your family. The Division of Social Services is offering Positive Indian Parenting class in January 2024 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 3pm. This class is free and open to all. It does require an email address, a smart device and a solid internet connection for the three-hour class. Cradleboard Workshop

Cradleboard Workshop Southern Ute Tribal Members are invited to join the Cultural Preservation Department for a Cradleboard Workshop with Ms. Jennifer GoodTracks! The workshop will be held every Thursday in January from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Small Craftroom at the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum. White Bison’s Medicine Wheel & 12-Step Program

The Behavioral Health Division is pleased to announce the beginning a new cycle of White Bison’s Medicine Wheel and 12-Step Program every Thursday, in-person, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at the Southern Ute Cultural Center & Museum. This is in addition to the on-going Warrior Down Wellbriety Talking Circle held virtually via TEAMS every Monday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
