The first Southern Ute Tribal Fair was held in 1920. The Southern Ute Tribal Fair and Rodeo is a 3-day event held annually on the second weekend in September at the Sky Ute Fairgrounds in Ignacio, Colorado.
This event features the Tribal Parade, Tribal Member Exhibits, contests such as children races, grease pole, frybread, jalapeño eating, tug-a-war, best painted horse, and chicken pull.
