Description
Construction on the Recovery Housing Project began July 13, 2026, and is expected to continue through Summer 2027. The project includes two new 4,000-square-foot substance use recovery housing facilities located near the Mesa Behavioral Health Building.
The Southern Ute Tribal Council and the Tribal Health team have provided key leadership throughout the project’s development, helping secure grant funding, guide planning efforts, and support decision-making to ensure the project meets community recovery needs.
When completed, the facilities will expand recovery services, support individuals and families on their healing journey, and strengthen the overall health and well-being of the Southern Ute community.
The project is fully funded through grants, allowing the Tribe to expand recovery housing opportunities without using Tribal funds. Funding partners include the Colorado Department of Human Services Behavioral Health Administration, the Colorado Health Foundation, and the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority.
