Description

The Southern Ute Indian Tribe recognizes that substance abuse is an epidemic that impacts the health and wellbeing of individuals, children, and families in our community. Patients with substance use disorders must travel great distances to receive treatment, and when they return home there is a need for appropriate housing with a supportive environment. This environment would include a supportive community with accessible resources, dependable childcare, transportation assistance, and effective programming to assist patients in effectively continuing their outpatient treatment plan. During Predesign, a site location will be determined, and the community will be master planned. There are several facilities that will make up the main Healing Village campus for Phase 1; 20 bed residential rehab, recovery housing for men, women & families, transitional living homes, early childhood center and outpatient treatment building. Upon completion and approval of Predesign, the project will go into design for phase 1.
