SU Voc REHAB: Disability Employment Awareness

October 16 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Southern Ute Vocational Rehabilitation Program cordially invites you to spend the day with us to learn and commemorate Southern Ute Disability Employment Awareness week.
The theme we have chosen this year is “We Belong.” It speaks to who we are as individuals, as community members, and employees. Everyone has an innate need to feel as if they belong, within our families, our communities, and our workspaces no matter what our abilities are. When a person feels they belong, they feel valued and accepted. They feel connected to those around them. They feel welcomed, included, and respected. They feel as if their life holds meaning and that they are a part of something meaningful.
This is the type of environment we strive to support here within our tribal and local communities.
The presentations we have scheduled are worthwhile and informative and can offer new perspectives, address internal bias, generate fresh ideas about living and working with a disability, and support a compassionate work environment.
Come join us for a day to connect and learn together.
To register, scan the QR code or call the Southern Ute Vocational Rehabilitation Program office at (970) 563-4730. Registration is required as we will serve breakfast and lunch and it will help us determine how much food to provide
