Tribal Council extends Disaster Proclamation

Southern Ute Reservation, Ignacio, Colorado – The Southern Ute Indian Tribe and respective EOC Command team encourages all tribal members and surrounding tribal community members to remain cautious and alert as additional moisture has arrived within the exterior boundaries of the Southern Ute Reservation and Four Corners region and is expected to continue through tomorrow. The Southern Ute Indian Tribe’s most recently declared emergency disaster proclamation has been extended by the Southern Ute Tribal Council through formal resolution to address the extent of the flooding damage on the Reservation, the ongoing needs of the Tribal membership, to protect life and preserve property and the environment by ensuring prevention, preparation, and response measures are in place. to protect life and preserve property and the environment by ensuring prevention, preparation, and response measures are in place while continued efforts to coordinate emergency response and recovery efforts are carried out through EOC command direction with tribal government resources and support. The Election Board has determined these are the dates for the upcoming 2026 General Election according to the Constitution and Election Code.

General Election- Friday, November 06, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

(New) Voter Registration Deadline- Wednesday, October 28, 2026, by 5:00 PM

Absentee Ballot Request Deadline- Wednesday, October 28, 2026, by 5:00 PM

Emergency Ballot Request Deadline- Thursday, November 05, 2026, by 5:00 PM

The 2026 General Election will be held at 285 Lakin St. Ignacio, CO
