Description

The Annex Building has proven to be an efficient office space despite its age and construction. At one time the future of this building was uncertain. Today this building houses many divisions for the Department of Natural Resources such as Lands, GIS, Permits and ROW, Surveying, Wildlife division and also houses Tribal Planning and Economic Development. With the lack of office space on campus, this building has risen to the task and needs to be properly maintained to continue to be an asset. The users of this building interface with the public for lands, permits, and economic development and it is imperative that its accessibility be improved. To provide the needed accessibility, it has been recommended by the Property & Facilities Department to replace the ADA ramp and hand railings at entrance steps and add a roof structure over the ramp to provide accessibility improvements through the winter. This project will also repair deteriorated masonry, demo and replace significantly deteriorated sidewalks, and upgrade aspects of the restrooms.
