SUMMARY:SU Behavioral Health: Mending Broken Hearts
DESCRIPTION:Behavioral Health presents: Mending Broken Hearts\, a culturally based healing program for Grief & loss\, and Intergenerational Trauma. Unresolved grief is demonstrated in the many social issues that Native people experience\, as represented in the “sick” forest illustration. Traditional healthy cultures have been made “sick” by the anger\, guilt\, shame\, and fear\, passed on from generation to generation. This creates a “culture” that is shame-based. This sense of shame and unresolved grief contributes to the behavioral\, emotional\, physical\, and spiritual issues that challenge wellness. Join us Every Tuesday starting February 20th at the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum Large Classroom from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. \nMarvina Olguin \nPeer Recovery Coach \nSUHC-Behavioral Health \nmarolguin@southernute-nsn.gov \n970-563-2359 \nhttps://www.southernute-nsn.gov/tribal-health/behavioral-health/ \nIf you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide or experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis\, 988 provides 24/7 connection to confidential support. There is Hope. Just call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org #988Lifeline
