February is American Heart Month. Shining Mountain Health and Wellness will be providing weekly information to help you keep your heart healthy. Wear Red tomorrow February 2nd to bring greater attention to heart disease as the leading cause of death for Americans. American Indians/Alaskan Natives are at a higher risk for heart disease due to the increased rates of diabetes and hypertension, and deaths from heart disease often occur at a younger age. Love your heart and learn more about keeping it healthy! Check out the attached flyer to know the warning signs of heart attack and stroke.
